Deck Replacement of Jackson Avenue Bridge Superstructure
Pompton Plains, NJ
About This Project
Once the decking on the Jackson Avenue Bridge began to deteriorate, we were tasked with removing and replacing the entire decking and superstructure of the bridge, ensuring safe passage for vehicles and maintaining the structural integrity of the crossing. The project was carried out in two carefully planned phases. During the first phase, traffic was rerouted onto one half of the bridge while the old decking on the other half was removed and replaced. Once the first half was completed, traffic was shifted onto the newly constructed deck, allowing the team to work on the second half.
Spanning the Passaic River, the project presented environmental challenges that required precise material control to prevent contamination. Through expert project management and environmental safeguards, we completed the work efficiently and to the client’s satisfaction.
